Florida is a state with a rich history and many cultural traditions. With its countless tourist attractions and places of interest, it has something on offer for everybody, regardless of how old they are or what walk of life they are from. Unfortunately, if you were planning to go to “The Sunshine State” this year with your beloved in tow, the lockdown has surely messed up your plans. Here are some places you’ve probably planed for your trip.
1. Walt Disney World
You may have a pretty good idea of why this one is at the top of our list. Most people associate Florida with Disney World. And it’s not just the little ones either. Most of the time, the parents, who themselves grew up watching Disney movies and dreaming about visiting this fantastical and magical place at least once in their lifetime, find themselves getting just as excited as their kids. It’s a perfect excuse for everyone to let out their inner child.
Being the biggest amusement park in the world, no matter how many times you visit it, it never loses its charm and each time is a different experience altogether, with countless new memories with the ones you love most.

2. Discovery Cove
Boasting one of the biggest aquariums in the world, with thousands of marine and amphibious species, Discovery Cove offers a unique, fun and educational experience for your entire family to enjoy. Whether you want to spend the entire day relaxing among the dolphins and the penguins, or educating yourself
about the habitats of reef sharks and polar bears, this place has everything. And when you get tired feeding the seals, there’s a delicious treat for you too. For the latest information on Discovery Cove, we added their website for the latest updates below.

3. Universal Islands of Adventure
Another one of the seven movie themed islands housed within the Universal Orlando Resort, and situated right next to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the Islands of Adventure features giant moving sculptures from films like Jurassic Park and King Kong.
4. Dry Tortugas National Park
If you want to spend some quality time with your family, surrounded by nature, add this one to your list. The park is situated in the Gulf of Mexico and offers activities like rock climbing, chairlift rides, kayaking, scuba diving and much more. https://www.nps.gov/drto/index.htm
5. ZooTampa at Lowry Park
As you walk through the entrance to Zoo Tampa, you’ll likely find children playing in the iconic manatee fountain beside an aviary housing exotic birds and zookeepers introducing visitors to some of their animal friends — and you’ll realize this is a place that strikes a perfect balance between fun, education and preservation.
The animals here are from across Florida and around the world. Visit a baby elephant in the back of the park, ride a merry-go-round and a log flume ride and visit one of the most important manatee research and rescue facilities on Florida’s west coast. It’s often recognized as one of the nation’s most family-friendly zoos, and you and your young ones won’t leave disappointed. https://zootampa.org/
6.Busch Gardens
Like roller coasters that really get your heart racing? Then get in line at Busch Gardens, home to a 200-foot-tall floorless dive coaster, a triple-launch coaster, and Florida’s first family spin coaster. The newest addition is Tigris, Florida’s tallest launch coaster, which launched in 2019. It’ll be followed by Iron Gwazi, the world’s fastest and steepest hybrid roller coaster, in 2020.
But it’s not all about daredevil drops here. The park’s also a great place for the preschool set, thanks to its Sesame Street Safari of Fun area filled with kiddie rides and attractions, plus photo ops with Elmo and Big Bird. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is also one of the largest zoo facilities in the U.S., so animal lovers big and small can see everything from giraffes and cheetahs to sloths and kangaroos while strolling the park. 7. Tampa International Mall
Tampa’s International Plaza and Bay Street is the city’s premier shopping mall featuring three upscale department stores and over 200 high-end specialty shops as well as more affordable stores along with
some of the top restaurants in Tampa Bay like Capital Grill, if you looking for a fun time with the family you find the Cheese Cake Factory which is always worth a visit even if it’s just for dessert.

Located next to Tampa’s international airport, you can make International Plaza your first stop or your last stop out of town.
8. Westshore Plaza
Convenient to the airport, Westshore Plaza is a slightly less intimidating shopping mecca than the exclusive International Plaza but it maintains a great selection of upscale shopping and trendy dining options. The mall is anchored by Macy’s, JCPenney, and Sears. Complimenting the department stores is a 14 screen movie theater and popular retailers such as The Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy and White House Black Market just to name a few. Almost as impressive are their dining options that include Maggiano’s Little Italy, PF Chang’s China Bistro and Seasons 52 among others. There is also a food court for an easy place to pick up a quick bite.
9. Florida Beaches and Coastline
Florida is most famous for thousands of miles of perfect soft sand beaches which attracts millions of tourists from all over the world. The coastline on the Gulf of Mexico that starts from Naples Florida has some of the world’s best beaches all the way up to the Florida panhandle.
